De la génèse à aujourd'hui:

Né sous le nom d' Overlander en 1998, ce n'est qu'en 2002 qu' Outcast, groupe originaire de l'Essonne (région parisienne), commence réellement sa carrière avec la sortie de son premier vrai CD (4 titres) " The Source Of All Creation " qui donne le ton et la direction musicale du groupe: du Thrash teinté de Death métal. Le MCD reçoit un très bon accueil de la presse spécialisée et permet au groupe de se faire un nom sur la scène underground française en seulement quelques mois. Le groupe est alors composé de Wilfried à la guitare rythmique et au chant, Clément à la basse, Romuald à la guitare solo et Mathieu à la batterie. Début 2003, le groupe recrute Guillaume et Grégory en tant que guitaristes pour remplacer Romuald et Wilfried (ce dernier se consacrant désormais uniquement au chant), laissant ainsi place à des compositions plus techniques. Durant cette année, Outcast effectue une série de concert et partage la scène avec des groupes de plus en plus importants tout en préparant son premier album longue durée. En Février 2004, Grégory quitte le groupe et n'est remplacé qu'en Juillet, et après plusieurs mois d'auditions, par Nicolas (également guitariste dans Symbyosis et Reason Sleeps). Durant la même période, Outcast signe un contrat de licence avec le label français Thundering Records, dont la distribution est assurée par Socadisc. " First Call / Last Warning " sort le 07 Mars 2005 et propose 10 titres alliant la puissance du Thrash suédois à l'intensité du Death métal, sans pour autant faire l'impasse sur la mélodie.

From genesis to today:

After starting out in 1998 as “Overlander” , it is only in 2002 that the Parisian band Outcast really launched its career with the release of its first proper 4 track CD "The Source Of All Creation" which gave the band its tone and musical direction : Thrash tinted with Death Metal. The MCD received an excellent reception from the specialized media, and in only a few months enabled the band to make a name for itself on the French underground scene.  Back then, the band members were Wilfried (rhythm guitar and vocals), Clément (bass guitar), Romuald (solo guitar) and Mathieu (drums). At the beginning of 2003, the band recruited Guillaume and Gregory, 2 guitar players to replace Romuald and Wilfried who is now only a vocalist.  This enabled the group to produce more technical compositions. During that year, Outcast gave a series of concerts and shared the stage with more and more important bands while preparing their next full length album. In February 2004, Gregory left the band to be replaced in July after several months of auditions by Nicolas (also a guitarist in Symbyosis and Reason Sleeps).During the same period, Outcast signed a licence agreement with the French label Thundering Records, distributed by Socadisc. "First Call/Last Warning" was released on 7th March 2005 and includes 10 tracks which combine the power of Swedish Thrash Metal with the intensity of Death Metal, but also featuring great melodies.
